Cricket Classics; 51 Heart-touching-Remembrance: Launch of former cricketer Prakash Bhatt’s book tomorrow on “Sanj Samachar”

So far, more than 200 articles of ‘Cricket Classics’, a column packed with never-before-heard details about cricket, have been published in the popular newspaper ‘Sanj Samachar’ every Saturday. Through all these articles, the readers have come to know many important information related to cricket, now from these more than 200 articles, 51 articles have been selected and a great book has been prepared, which will be launched tomorrow in the presence of special dignitaries on the occasion of ‘Sanj Samachar’. The author of the book, income tax officer, former Ranji cricketer and IPL match referee Prakashbhai Bhatt, his son Dhaiwat Bhatt, who was a guest of ‘Saanj Samachar’ to give information about this book said.

This book will be launched in two languages, Gujarati and English. Written in Gujarati by Prakashbhai Bhatt, it has been translated from Gujarati to English by his son Dhaiwat Bhatt. Prakashbhai Bhatt said that apart from ‘Sanj Samachar’, ‘Navbharat Sahitya Mandir’ also had special support in publishing this book. He added that as an officer of the Income Tax Department, it was very difficult for me to write this type of column along with my work. Carrying the responsibility has come such a long way that I am now experiencing an unforgettable joy. In this book, apart from domestic cricket, the readers will get to see the gist of cases that happened with cricketers of Saurashtra, India and foreign cricketers but never came out.

In this book, apart from Lord of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar, veteran cricketers Javagal Srinath, VVS Laxman, umpire Nitin Menon and others have given a special message. Apart from this, the readers will also get to read Niranjanbhai Shah’s statement in this book. Prakashbhai Bhatt further said that there are many memories and moments along the cricket ground which are known off field i.e. outside the ground i.e. standing and talking with the cricketers at the breakfast table, all these things are covered in this book. is ICC match referee Javagal Srinath, BCCI-Saurashtra Cricket Association former secretary Niranjanbhai Shah, Saurashtra Cricket Association president Jaydevbhai Shah, Income Tax Commissioner BL Meena, elite umpire Nitin Menon, cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara, Apart from Jaydev Undkat, well-known writer-orator Bhadrayu Vachharaja, entire family of Prakashbhai Bhatt and Saurashtra team players will be in special presence. It also becomes necessary to mention here that Prakashbhai Bhatt, who is currently working as an Income Tax Officer, has been a player of Saurashtra’s Ranji team and has played 51 Ranji matches for Saurashtra. He has also held an important responsibility as the captain of the Saurashtra team. It is also significant that Prakashbhai Bhatt is the only Gujarati to be selected for this post from the West Zone while he is currently working as a match referee in the IPL. He is also working with ICC and BCCI to upgrade the new rules of cricket. He retired from cricket in the year 2004-05 but has still maintained his passion for cricket to reach this point.
