About

Mr Manhar Shukla was transferred to Ahmedabad from Bhavnagar in 1983. Before his transfer, Ahichtra Sanskar Kendra, Bhavanagar, formed an ad-hoc committee of five members to manage the organisation's accounts. Among these five members, He was the youngest.

Ahmedabad's trust was also carrying out activities similar to Bhavnagar. As soon as he reached Ahmedabad, our elders asked him to join activities carried out by Hatkesh Vidhyotejak Sanskar Kendra. In those days, he collected fees from house to house and then sent the payments, receipt book, and other information to Bhavanagar.

Ahichtra Sanskar Kendra, Bhavnagar, regularly started an organisational magazine named 'Ahichatra.' He was assigned to collect our community-related news from Ahmedabad and surrounding areas. Regarding our community's updates, he gathered and arranged information about job change and promotion, achievements, programmes, engagement or marriage, janoi, housewarming, and other social aspects. Moreover, he has also delivered the magazine personally, collected magazine membership fees, and sent it to Bhavanagar. Later on, Shri. Hasmukhbhai Nrusinhprasad Joshi took on this work and fulfilled his duties honestly.

More and more community members had chosen Jivraj Park to settle down. Therefore, the number of students has also increased. Thus, we started a group named 'Ahichtra Yuva Mandal- Jivraj Park, and he felt fortunate enough to be a part of it; The group arranged games, fancy dress, elocution, writing, and general knowledge competitions for students of our community, while they organised garba and rangoli competitions for women. The group also performed music, songs, classical dance, and garba on stage.

Objectives of Joining the Trust:

With the blessings of elders and community members, he became a part of Ahichtra Sanskar Kendra, which arranges educational, social, literary, and cultural activities for men and women. He says that "I have been a part of many activities. Whether collecting membership fees, collecting news, accounts or changing the communication address of community members, I have learnt a lot in this journey of volunteering for our community, and the learning process is still going on".
